Watch a Latin-Ballroom competition Fri-Sat 2006-03-17/18Come out and watch latin-ballroom competitors from around the world. The "Crystal Leaf" competition is at the Double Tree International Plaza Hotel, 655 Dixon Rd, Toronto. Click here for more information. This competition is well-worth attending since it is a full IDSF competition. Contact us if you are interested in going.
Outing for Latin-Ballroom students Fri 2006-03-17There is an official outing Fri Mar 17 to Westway Club for Latin-Ballroom students at all levels. This is your end-of-term dance outing. Please check your emails for details. Westway Club is located on 291 Evans St - click here for a map. It starts at 8:00pm. The discounted cost is $12 including a light hot meal at 10:00pm. Dress code applies - no jeans or T-shirts. Check your emails for your invitation. You need to be on a Toronto Dance list to get the discount. Outing report: There were 56 Toronto Dance students and 1 guest for a total of 57 people. This is a smaller number than our usual 75-85 people because it is Spring break. This was a great outing.

Watch "Dancing With The Stars" TV Show weekly 2006-01-05 to 02-26The hit TV series "Dancing With The Stars" is coming back for a second season! Season 1 was in the top 5 TV shows when it was airing. Season 2 will start Jan 5 on ABC and continue every Thurs at 8:00-9:30pm with results every Fri Jan 6 8:00-8:30pm. The audience gets to vote via phone calls and emails. Outing for Salsa-Nightclub students Sat 2006-02-18There is an official outing Sat Feb 18 to Acrobat Lounge for students at all levels. Acrobat is at 2464 Yonge St (north of Eglinton). There is a maximum of 175 people. Please check your emails for details. There is a discounted price but you must be on a list to get the discount. There will be a level 1 and level 2+ lesson at 8:45-9:45pm taught by Sharon and Caryl. Outing report: The outing was a huge success! There were a total of approximately 275 people who attending this outing! About 150 people came for the lessons and as people left, more people came.
Outing for Latin-Ballroom students Fri 2006-02-17There is an official outing Fri Feb 17 to Danforth Baptist Church for Latin-Ballroom students at levels 1 and 2. Please check your emails for details. This is a great place to practice your dance steps in a Toronto Dance-only environment. Outing report: There were 54 Toronto Dance students and 2 guests who attended for a total of 56 people. Chuan reviewed the Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Waltz, and Jive and taught a little extra Cha Cha (toward the end of the night).

Outing for Salsa-Nightclub students Sun 2006-02-05There is an official outing Sun Nov 27 to El Rancho for students at all levels. El Rancho is at 430 College St. Please check your emails for details. There is a discounted price but you must be on a list to get the discount. Sharon will be teaching a level 1 Salsa lesson 8:00-8:45pm.
Toronto Dance Salsa on TV "Toronto Living" 2006-01-30 to 02-05

Sharon taught the host, Dr. Scott Levine, fitness correspondent, some basic Salsa moves and spoke about the benefits of learning Salsa. Outing for Salsa-Nightclub students Wed 2006-01-18There is an informal outing Wed Jan 18 10:00pm onward to Babalúu for students at level 2 and higher and their guests. Babalúu is at 136 Yorkville Ave (at Avenue Rd). Please check your emails for details.
Toronto Dance on TV "Star TV" Jan 2006
The 30-min show will appear Jan 8-15 2006. The show schedule is as follows:
The stars interviewed were Colin Mochrie and his wife Deb MaGraff, both comedians. Colin is the star of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" The interview was about why they are interested in ballroom dancing. Chuan Chee taught them a quick lesson in Cha Cha.
